We often hear that youths are the leaders of the future, but do young people get the opportunity to work towards building that future? Organizations such as Youth Time International Movement are providing these opportunities for young people. They officially opened their application call for young innovators to be Participants and Project Presenters for its 5th Annual Youth Global Forum.
Young Innovators use Critical Thinking
It’s an exciting opportunity to spend a thrilling and educational week in one of Europe’s tech hubs, the city of Amsterdam. Critical thinkers will gain invaluable new skills, knowledge and experiences that will serve as a solid foundation for their future.
Additionally, project presenters will also compete for the Youth Time Idea Grant (10.000 EUR). These fully funded scholarships will enable students to study and intern in leading schools in Europe and South-East Asia. Last year’s winner of this forum held in Paris focused on creating a mental health centre in Guyana. Additionally, the winner spotlighted the renewed agricultural practice of hydroponics in the Dominican Republic and environmental projects in Ecuador.
With this year’s riveting theme, “Inclusive Development vs Industry 5.0: Where is the future?’’ a diverse range of field experts and industry leaders pass on their expertise to participants. They will equip youth with the necessary tools to adapt successfully to modern conditions and engage in ventures to transform our society.
Call for Young Innovators
Various social issues like poverty, bullying and access to healthcare can negatively impact our communities throughout the globe. Thus, solving these social issues should be an important aspect of young people’s daily lives. Youth Time International invites young innovators from 18-35 years to share how these solutions will impact their communities.
The event will take place from December 2nd – 6th, 2019 with over 100 international participants, experts and trainers. Young persons from around the Caribbean region can apply here. Application call closes on June 1st, 2019.
