The Maritime Financial Group provides an umbrella of specialized financial services that meet the diverse needs of existing and prospective clients. Within the Group, there are the several divisions.

Maritime Life Caribbean Limited is the parent company and it provides life insurance, annuities, mortgages, major medical insurance and some investment-linked insurance products.

Maritime General is licensed to underwrite all classes of general insurance in Trinidad and Tobago. Some of these products include auto insurance, homeowners, personal accident, marine and workmen’s compensation.

Fidelity Finance provides consumer and commercial loans and consumer deposits.

The Groups other subsidiaries include Food Giant supermarket and the Balandra by the Bay development.

Maritime’s presence in the local financial market began in the early 1960’s when Maritime Life Assurance of Halifax, Canada began business through a Branch operation. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011 and it continues to be a stable, reputable financial institution in Trinidad and Tobago.

Maritime has proved itself to be innovative and constantly evolving as evidenced by the fact that the company has achieved a number of firsts in the industry.
